What are Stinger Drives?
Surface drive systems are vital for achieving lift, stability, and maximum speed in any RC boat. Whether you’re upgrading a V-hull, a fast catamaran, or a scale offshore model, the right drive hardware transforms how the boat performs in both flat and rough conditions.
On this page you’ll find Stinger Drives, Arneson-style drives, and all drive-specific spares, clearly listed with metric and imperial compatibility to make selecting the right system simple.
We’ve also added a Featured Drive Systems section showcasing some of the most advanced and interesting setups available from Noah’s RC Ark.
Stinger drives are one of the most popular and effective surface-drive systems in RC boating. They provide stable alignment, excellent adjustability, and clean running at high speeds.
Available Sizes (Metric / Imperial):
4.00mm
4.76mm (3/16")
6.35mm (¼")
All stinger sizes are also available in servo-controlled trim versions, allowing live angle adjustment straight from your transmitter.
Benefits of Servo-Trim Stingers:
Real-time bow-lift tuning
Better rough-water handling
Faster acceleration when trimmed down
Higher top-end speed when trimmed up
Ideal for OMRA-style racing where conditions change constantly
Typical Uses:
Mid-size & large V-hulls
Offshore cats
High-KV brushless setups
Scale builds requiring adjustable thrust angle
Stinger Drive Spares on This Page Include:
(No shaft components included)
Stinger barrels
End caps & adjusters
Trim arms & pivot brackets
